Games

Games on consoles or PCs can be referred to as “arcade games” if they share these qualities or are direct ports of arcade titles. Many independent developers are now producing games in the arcade genre that are designed specifically for use on the Internet. These games are usually designed with Flash/Java/DHTML and run directly in web browsers.

Arcade games frequently have more immersive and realistic game controls

than either PC or console games, including specialized ambiance or control accessories: Fully enclosed dynamic cabinets with force feedback controls, dedicated lightguns, rear projection displays, reproductions of automobile or airplane cockpits, motorcycle or horse shaped controllers, or highly dedicated controllers such as dancing mats and fishing rods.

These accessories are usually what set modern video games apart from other games, as they are usually too bulky, expensive, and specialized to be used with typical home PCs and consoles.

Arcade games are currently being downloaded

and emulated through the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console Service starting in 2009 with Gaplus, Mappy, Space Harrier, Star Force, The Tower of Druaga, Tecmo Bowl, Altered Beast and many more. Other classic arcade games such as Asteroids, Tron, Discs of Tron, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Pac Man, Joust, Battlezone, Dig Dug, Robotron: 2084, and Missile Command are emulated on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Racing games are another soft spot of mine as I admit to being very competitive.

The first time I have played something with cars and racing was Micro Machines, a fun micro car game that got me interested in the genre. Moving along I discovered Top Gear on my SNES and that only reinforced the love. But that’s in the past. This genre got a lot of improvement over the years, not only with graphics but also with the more and more realistic feel you get when you control your car.

You will find many games dedicated to the young,

blushing girl and they can live out their fantasies being beautiful princesses waiting for a prince charming to come rescue them. Most of the video games for girls are based on a story which involves the player assuming the role of the princess, or bride about to get married.

Some of the popular video games for girls are Princess Yoko, Beautiful Princess, My Dream Girl, Wedding Makeover and Fall Fashion Dream to mention a few. Some of the other Girls Games like fashion games, makeovers.

Barbie games etc are quite a few interesting games

which are able to cater the needs of games for girls. With this parents are also getting time for their own work. These games help them to become creative, add to their knowledge and concentrating abilities.

Parents are not to worry about the safety of the child when she goes out as she is now able have her stand and is intelligible, constructive and mindful, due to the exciting games at home, either through purchase or downloading through internet.

Virtually all modern arcade games (other than the very traditional midway type games at county fairs) make extensive use of solid state electronics and integrated circuits. In the past coin operated arcade video games generally used custom per game hardware often with multiple CPUs, highly specialized sound and graphics chips, and the latest in computer graphics display technology. Recent arcade game hardware is often based on modified video game console hardware or high end PC components.
